Super bloom seasons in the California deserts, where unusually high numbers of wildflowers blossoms occur, happen in the desert only when very specific conditions are met. We saw the phenomenon in 2017 at Anza Borrego Desert State Park. There were fields of yellow wild flowers like carpets as far as the eye can see.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden.
