Getting out on the water offers a unique perspective and is an excellent way to observe the incomparable scenery with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and distinctive geological features of the eastern sierra and serene view. The canoe belonged to an outdoorsman friend who kindly took me for a spin on this beautiful calm Lake Mary water.
Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her.
