In Mammoth Lakes, this well fed looking guy darted across the road, waited and then posed handsomely for me while I grabbed my camera before quickly darting off into the snow covered closed fairway of Snowcreek's Golf Course.
At first glance and from a distance the coyote's stance looked like a large dog or even a wolf that might have wandered along the closed fairways in search of prey.
At night you can hear their distinctive howling and a reminder to keep your pets inside as they love to feed on them.
Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her.
