Crowley Lake, a reservoir on the upper Owens River, is known throughout the Western United States as being an incredible fishery that produces large, beautiful trout. But in the winter months when the lake is often frozen, the views of the snow peaked Sierra Nevada Mountain Range can be breathtaking. You can see settings like this winter scene as you drive North along Highway 385 towards Mammoth Lakes from the lower elevation of the Bishop community. During the spring and summer months, the lake offers some of the most exciting trout fishing in California.
Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her.
