The golden barrel cactus, sometimes called mother-in-law's cushion, is a well known species of cactus found in the desert. It is beautifully showcased in the popular Living Desert, located in Palm Desert, California. The afternoon twilight showcased its spiky thorns; the spiky succulents were blooming in color arrays of pinks and yellows.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her. Nature is the real artist. I am just one of the tools used to capture its best moments for others to see. Within the chaos of this beautiful world that we live in, I will continue searching for the best moments and the best way to capture whatever nature offers me.
