Artist's Description

Driving southbound on Highway 395 provides some of the most dramatic vistas of geological formations. The curve in the road just before exiting onto highway 203 into the town of Mammoth Lakes provided this dramatic scene and the opportunity to pull off the road, grab the gear, set up and shoot! The rain stopped falling and the sun appeared through the clouds to wet the black pavement, previously covered in light slushy snow.

I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden.
