With the distant magnification of my 400mm zoom Nikon lens, I photographed these beautiful lions in the wild as they crouched in the tall Serengeti African grass. Alert and now on guard, their love making session had been disrupted. They saw a group of approaching Masai tribesmen that were clad in brightly colored red desert robes as they moved their herd of cattle over the plains, kicking up a cloud of dust. These nomadic tribesmen carry swords to protect their stock from predators and by doing so, they are the only thing that the lions fear in the African national parks.
