This image of Mammoth Mountain and neighboring Lincoln Mountain was captured on a blustery, chilly five degree morning from the meadow outside Snow Creek residential area. Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is a favorite spot for winter ski and snowboard enthusiasts.

Let the fun begin at this elevation of 11,000 with more than 3,500 acres of skiable terrain, serviced by 28 lifts.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her.
