Mammoth Rock is a landmark to the locals in Mammoth Lakes. Once surrounded by only natural beauty, it now stands prominently and yes, perhaps in defiance against the population growth and human additions of golf courses surrounding her. It still boasts her undeniable beauty to my eye and the wonders around us.
About Bonnie Colgan
Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her. Nature is the real artist. I am just one of the tools used to capture its best moments for others to see.
