There are many benefits to capturing images on a cloudy autumn day. This is true especially in the fall as the golden color of the leaves easily stand out absent the harsh sunlight. In the fall, there are fewer tourists and more opportunities to find a variety of subjects to frame that are void of humans. The kids are back in school and the campgrounds are more open.
Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her.
