Artist's Description
Caught this serene Merced River image with the reflections and granite backdrop from the valley floor of Yosemite National Park. The new leaf growth on the trees were bursting with Irish green spring-like color. The area was void of clatter, the water calm and the weather peaceful.
Crafted the composition to hopefully share the inspirational feeling the serenity of this location had on me. In the hustle and bustle of major city life, it's easy to miss the opportunity for the quiet reflection that being outdoors in exceptional scenery adds to a healthy lifestyle.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden.
