I loved capturing this mystical late fall moment while wondering the woods near Oxbow Bend, Wyoming. The rust colored fallen aspen leaves, left crunchy sounds from our boots, amidst the drizzle and stillness of the early morning mist. Deer were just off camera as peaceful as I felt.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her. Following a three decade career in public education, as a teacher and then principal for the Los Angeles Unified School District, I began a new career quite serendipitously as a professional landscape, wildlife and jazz photographer of California's majestic Eastern Sierra mountains.
