Rob Verdi is a top tier virtuoso sax player and he swings with the best of 'em. Beautiful sounds emanate from his large collection of saxophones. One of the founding members of Side Street Strutters, his individual show, Saxophobia, offers audiences a rare historical glimpse at some of the most unusual saxophones ever made. He also pays tribute to many of the great jazz legends who contributed to the development of jazz and the popularity of the sax . Many different instruments are featured in his presentation spanning over a century of music, including a slide sax, connosax and 6 1/2' tall contrabass saxophone.
