Artist's Description
In a non drought year, some of the spring runoffs in Yosemite National Park just seem to blossom out of nowhere. These water cascades can be breathtaking yet finding a place to park to photograph them is a challenge. A tripod is definitely needed for slow motion effects. But there have been times, I've been know to make several passes at them just to shoot the image but alas, the efforts were in vain. So, if the time was right (no traffic behind me)...I've stopped in the middle of the road and used my window as a tripod :-( as I did in this image.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her.
