A digital conversion to black and white to accomodate a decorating theme, this image originally taken with film and shown in my collection of Montana images. As we rode horseback through the meadow, the dawn’s early light cast a warm glow on this surprise find of legacies.. an old western wagon filled with antler relics of past lives. The B&W image seemed to authenticate the vintage western decor desired by our client.

Since childhood, Aristotle's quote, "Where there is no vision, the people perish," has been a huge influence on me. I continue to extend and interpret its meaning through my photography as I capture images that hopefully inspire, amuse and gladden. At the same time, perhaps my images will also help document the beauty of Mother Nature and our responsibility to care for her. Following a three decade career in public education, as a teacher and then principal for the Los Angeles Unified School District, I began a new career quite serendipitously as a professional landscape, wildlife and jazz photographer of California's majestic Eastern Sierra mountains.
