Description
Not another soul around to enjoy the quiet solitude this setting had to offer so I wanted to share my experience by capturing it on film. Just south of Mammoth Lakes is the Mcgee Creek Pack Station located at the edge of the John Muir Wilderness trails. Its located off Highway 395 just south of the Mammoth Lakes area; accessible by a dirt road, ext to the wooden fence protecting livestock from a ravine as they might cross the road. The area is particularly colorful in the fall as you meander up to the trails either by auto, mule, horseback or on foot. Took this image on an overcast day using my steering wheel as a tripod.
